The range of Versace products at the best prices on the Mydutyfree.net

Versace is an Italian luxury brand specializing in the creation of women's, men's, and children's clothing, as well as lingerie, footwear, accessories, and fragrances. Additionally, it offers jewelry, Swiss watches, furniture, tableware, textiles, and home decor items. All Versace products are distinguished by exquisite design and impeccable quality. The brand's symbol is the image of the head of the Rondanini Medusa, embodying beauty and hypnotic charm.

The history of Versace

The fashion house Gianni Versace was founded in 1978 by Gianni Versace and his brother Santo in Italy.

From the very beginning, Gianni focused on creating collections, while Santo handled the company's finances. Later, their sister Donatella joined them, taking charge of the fashion house's image.

The first presentation of the Gianni Versace women's collection took place in Milan in 1978 and received enthusiastic reviews from the audience. Gianni created bold and luxurious outfits that accentuated the female figure. The brand's characteristic features included high slits, deep necklines, and extremely short skirts.

The success of Versace's new products was so great that the first brand store was soon opened. In 1981, a perfume line was launched, with the first fragrance being the floral-chypre Gianni Versace.

In 1986, the first men's fragrance, Versace L'Homme, was released. By the end of the 1980s, the brand became known not only in Italy but also internationally, especially in the USA. The popularity of the fashion house was greatly influenced by Anna Wintour, who became the editor-in-chief of Vogue US in 1988. Under her leadership, models in Gianni Versace's outfits became frequent guests on the magazine's covers.

By the 1990s, celebrities such as Madonna, Tina Turner, Princess Diana, Jane Fonda, Hugh Grant, Cindy Crawford, Sting, Woody Allen, Cher, George Michael, and many others became fans of Gianni Versace. Gianni Versace also created stage costumes for performances by Elton John, Luciano Pavarotti, and other artists. Many global stars continue to prefer the brand and leave a plethora of positive reviews about Versace.

In 1993, the fashion house launched the Home Collection line, which included bedding, carpets, and accessories. Additionally, a licensing agreement was signed with the German company Rosenthal for the production of tableware. In the same year, the Versace Young children's clothing line was introduced.

In the 1990s, global stars increasingly appeared at public events wearing Versace attire. Princess Diana also wore Gianni Versace's outfits.

In 1994, Gianni Versace began producing watches with Swiss mechanisms.

On the morning of July 17, 1997, Gianni Versace was shot dead on the doorstep of his Miami home by Andrew Cunanan, a homosexual and criminal wanted by the police for the murder of four people. After this tragic event, the leadership of the Fashion House passed to his sister, Donatella Versace, who decided to rename the brand to Versace. However, with Donatella's arrival, the brand's sales sharply declined, and it was only by the 2000s that their volume was restored.

In the 2000s, global stars continued to represent the brand on red carpets in Versace attire. The faces of the fashion house included such well-known personalities as Kate Moss, Demi Moore, Gisele Bündchen, Amber Valletta, Isabeli Fontana, Toni Garrn, Halle Berry, Candice Swanepoel, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Georgia May Jagger, and many others.

Versace Perfumery

In 1981, three years after the first fashion show, Versace introduced a fragrance bearing his own name. This rich oriental chypre with character organically complemented the brand's image. Just a year later, Gianni Versace's eau de toilette and perfume appeared on the shelves of American stores, and in 1984, the first men's fragrance was released - L’Homme, with the slogan "virile e romantico" ("virile and romantic"), presented at the Milan "Piccolo Teatro" in October of the same year. The last fragrance of the decade was the pink chypre V’E (1989), which remained in history thanks to its bottle, designed in the style of late Cubists, echoing the design of Versace's inkwell.

In 1989, the Versace brand expanded its clothing and accessories line with the introduction of Versus, led by the designer's younger sister, Donatella. Aromatic additions to this collection - the fresh masculine fougère Versus Uomo and the warm fruity Versus Donna - were released in 1991 and 1992 respectively. In 1995, fragrances for children appeared - the airy citrusy Baby Blue Jeans and the powdery-violet Baby Rose Jeans, and in 1996, the aromatic Green Jeans and Yellow Jeans with mimosa and green tea. During this period, the brand introduced two independent fragrances - Blonde (1995), dedicated to Donatella, and the masculine iris The Dreamer (1996), which became the last fragrance released during Versace's lifetime and is still in production. In 1997, the piercing lavender Black Jeans and the meditative resinous White Jeans were released - after the designer's death.

Versace Sunglasses

Despite the brand's extravagant essence, the frames for sunglasses remain crafted in a classic design. Modern interpretations of timeless style elevate these products to the forefront of fashion and worldwide popularity. Optical lines intertwine with universal unisex models, more feminine oval shapes, and strict rectangular forms. Frames encrusted with precious stones are intended to affirm their belonging to the elite class. These products emit chic and brilliance, which is reflected in the mirrored facets of Swarovski stones.
